DrugHub implements a robust access control system designed to strengthen security and reduce the risks of phishing and DDoS attacks. Each user is assigned a unique .onion address, which grants them access to the platform. To obtain this address, users must visit a designated LDN page.
Once on the LDN page, users are required to complete a CAPTCHA challenge and click a button to generate a new mirror link. This newly created mirror is signed, and it is essential to verify its validity using the platform's PGP key.
It's important to emphasize that each user is uniquely tied to their assigned mirror, ensuring that only the user can use it. This personalized approach adds an extra layer of security to prevent unauthorized access.

In contrast, vendors are assigned Permanent Mirrors, accessible exclusively to them and users who have completed transactions with them on the marketplace. This eliminates the need for vendors and trusted users to constantly search for new URLs, streamlining their interactions.
During their engagement with the marketplace, users will face a CAPTCHA challenge. This test is designed to ensure the user is human, displaying a transparent circle that must be aligned with an underlying layer. The user must complete this task before the CAPTCHA timer expires, then click 'continue' to proceed to the marketplace.
To finalize a customer’s registration on DrugHub, having a PGP key is mandatory. Users must enter their PGP key into the required field on the registration page and press 'continue'. Afterward, a PGP encrypted message will appear. Users should retrieve this message from the code box, paste it into their PGP client, and decrypt it. The decrypted message will begin with 'DRUG_HUB_BUYER_REGISTRATION_yourcodehere'. To complete the registration, users should select the appropriate confirmation option.
The username entered serves only as an identifier for vendors and does not function for login purposes. After choosing a username, users should click 'continue' to proceed and finalize the registration process.
Users must also provide their PGP Public Key and select a session timeout duration. This defines the time period after which re-authentication will be required to continue accessing the market. For instance, if you select a 12-hour session timeout, you will stay logged in for 12 hours unless you choose to log out manually. Afterward, click 'Continue' to receive your PGP validation message, and refer to the previous steps for details on PGP validation.
The validation code provided for login begins with a unique prefix. On the left of the interface, users will find a Categories Menu. By selecting a category from this menu, users will see a drop-down list containing various sub-categories and further options for navigation.
CAPTCHA
Upon entering DrugHub, users will encounter a well-organized page layout. The main content area showcases tiles in a two-column format, each displaying vital product information such as an image, title, category, subcategory, price, payment methods (escrow or FE), shipping details (origin and destination), vendor details, and user ratings.
At the top of the page, the navigation menu includes several important tabs like Invoices, Orders, Vendor Chats, Support, PGP, Notifications, Shopping Cart, XMR Wallet, and Profile Settings.
To assist users in finding products, there is a search bar located above the tiles. This search tool allows users to perform both Simple and Advanced Searches.
Next to the search bar, a sorting option is available to help users filter results based on factors like newest to oldest, lowest to highest price, vendor ratings, and listing popularity.
Using the Simple Search feature, users can type their desired search terms and click on "Simple Search" to retrieve relevant listings.
For a more refined search, the Advanced Search option provides additional filters that users can adjust to narrow down results.
REGISTRATION
The product listing page provides a wealth of crucial information that should be carefully reviewed. This includes the product title, refund policy, prices in both FIAT and XMR (Monero), listing type (either escrow or FE), view count, stock status, shipping details (origin and destination), vendor type (escrow or FE), sales performance, dispute resolution record (wins/losses), and the status of any open orders (active or disputed).
Additionally, the section for placing orders includes shipping options, order quantity selections, and bulk quantity settings. Following this, product images are displayed, and there are buttons available for contacting the vendor, reporting the listing, and adding the item to your favorites list.
Once you’ve made your selections, you can click the 'Add to cart' button, which allows you to either proceed to checkout immediately or add more items to your shopping cart. This feature provides the convenience of paying for multiple items in a single transaction.
If you opt to add a listing to your cart and proceed to finalize your order, you will be presented with a confirmation page similar to the one shown above, with an option to continue the checkout process.
PGP VALIDATION
This step is essential to ensure the security of your transaction, allowing for encrypted communication and payment processing.
USERNAME SELECTION
Once you’ve selected your username, proceed with the registration process. Remember to protect your order details by encrypting them with the appropriate PGP key, then entering the encrypted text to finalize your registration.

In addition to these details, the ordering options section
encompasses shipping options, order quantity, and bulk quantity
settings. This is followed by product images, as well as buttons for
contacting the vendor, reporting the listing, adding it to favorites,
and adding it to the cart.
Once all the applicable listing options have been selected, users
have the ability to press the "Add to cart" button. This allows them
to either proceed with the immediate purchase of the product or add
additional products to their cart. This convenient feature enables
users to pay for multiple orders within a single transaction.
CHECKOUT
If you've selected the "Add to cart" option for a particular listing and proceeded to place an order, you'll be taken to a screen similar to the one shown above. This page will display detailed information about your order, including the seller's PGP key. It's important to encrypt your order details using this specific key and paste the encrypted message into the designated Order message box. If your cart contains multiple items from different vendors, repeat this process for each unique key. Once completed, click on "Continue" to move to the Payment page.
Carefully read the instructions, and if you fully understand them, click "I understand and agree."
To complete the transaction, make sure to send the exact amount of XMR shown in the red area. The payment address will be verified using the Market key. You can also use the QR Code tab to generate a scannable code for your convenience.
Timely payment is critical on this page, as a 60-minute countdown will begin. If you don't pay within this period, your order will be automatically canceled.
